2011 Rushmore/Black Hills ABATE West River Joint Passport Poker Run Rules
Our businesses sponsors have indicated in the past that they don’t think ABATE member’s use their businesses. We
have put together a plan to pay back the merchants and businesses that support us. This plan would prove that we do
support them and it would get more members into their businesses to get stamped along with using the business while
having fun.
It is called the Rushmore ABATE/Black Hills ABATE West River Joint Passport Poker Run.
The Passports cost is $10.00 to members (ABATE members only) and you can buy as many as you want. You sign and
date your Passport book(s) when you get it/them. *These may be purchased at any ABATE or other motorcycle event
from the people listed below. You can go any time the business is open any day of the week to get a stamp or signature
– one stamp per business. In addition to the $10.00, you must sign a waiver for each Passport purchased. You will get
your Passport(s) stamped or signed when you stop or use the business.
The stops are scattered nicely over our part of the state. They include old favorites and “long-time” ABATE supporters
as well as many new stops in new towns. But, you don’t have to have an “Iron Butt” or eight weeks vacation to
participate. You can draw a basic 7-card hand with only 20 stops.
For every additional 20 stops you get to draw another card to better your chances to win the cash prizes. 7 cards will be
drawn and 5 will be played after your discards – Hoyle’s Rules apply to poker hands.
The cards will be drawn at the Ed Netterberg/Joint Rodeo Weekend - last hand to be turned in no later than 6:00 p.m.
on the Saturday night of the event. The owner of the Passport(s) is encouraged to draw his or her own hand but if this is
not possible, someone else may be designated as long as the Passport(s) are not reported lost or stolen. If reported
lost or stolen, only the original purchaser may play the Passport(s).
